Course content
Introduction into Latin alphabet, pronunciation and grammar. The basic structure of Latin grammar: declensions of nouns and adjectives. Verbal conjugation. Adverbs formation. Comparative forms of adjectives and adverbs. Participium praesentis, ablativus temporalis. Imperfectum. Futurum. The verb "esse" and its compounds.

Learning outcomes
Knowledge of basic Latin grammar, morphology and syntax, basic vocabulary. Ability to translate simple Latin sentences from art history sources.

Absolutory of the course DVU/ALZ1

Assessment methods and criteria
Oral exam, Written exam

Final test and active participation in class.
