Course content

Topics: 1) Introduction to English for radiography 2) Medical imaging 3) The radiology team 4) X-ray examination 5) CT examination 6) Mammography 7) Nuclear medicine This subject consists of 15 hours of in-class instruction and 39 hours of out-of-class study.

Learning outcomes
|
Students will expand their knowledge of healthcare terminology, practice more advanced grammar points at an intermediate level and improve their speaking, listening, reading and writing skills in English. They will develop level of healthcare English necessary for their profession, with focus on communication with patietns during imaging examinations.
Students will acquire a basic level of healthcare English necessary for their profession.

Competence in English at least at the CEFR reference level A2/B1 - pre-intermediate.

Assessment methods and criteria
|
Mark, Written exam
Seminar attendance 80% and active participation in classes. Completing assigned tasks. Final exam.
