Course content
Basic neurology, with a special focus on the peripheral sensory-motor and vegetative nervous systems, cytoarchitectonics and functional stratification of the spinal cord. Syndromology of the peripheral nerves, spinal cord and brain stem. Consistent knowledge of cerebellar function pathology in the most common nerve disorders. Modern concept of diagnostic-therapeutic measures in cerebrovascular diseases. Syndromology of various types of trauma and vascular diseases of the brain and spinal cord.

Learning outcomes
The subject extends neurology knowledge from the bachelor's degree programme by more detailed information with respect to motor functions. Basic neurology, with a special focus on the peripheral sensory-motor and vegetative nervous systems, cytoarchitectonics and functional stratification of the spinal cord. Syndromology of the peripheral nerves, spinal cord and brain stem. Consistent knowledge of cerebellar function pathology in the most common nerve disorders. Modern concept of diagnostic-therapeutic measures in cerebrovascular diseases. Syndromology of various types of trauma and vascular diseases of the brain and spinal cord.
The students learn about the structure, basic functions, structural and functional affections of the central and peripheral nervous systems. After graduation, students will be able to implement the acquired knowledge in the diagnostic and treatment in neurological patients.
