Course content
|
Seminars: 1. Researching, searching for professional publications, databases of medical literature. 2. Methods of citation in the text, format of citations. 3. Review article and its structure. Case report. 4. Original scientific publication. 5. Review procedure and its meaning. Exercises: 1. Practice finding sources for study, creating a search for a selected issue. 2. Selection of the target magazine, studying the specifics of the publisher. 3. Creating an outline of the article, writing the introductory part of the article. 4. Creating the core of the article, writing the abstract for the article. 5. Creating a conclusion, formal review of the article. Submitting it to the target journal.

Learning outcomes
|
The students will receive information about the principles of writing of review articles, case reports and original papers. The knowledge will be afterwards used in praxis in the writing of their own publication.
A student, after completing the course: knows the publication standards; is able to produce the structure of the scientific text; knows where to publish; is able to write a scientific text.

Participation in seminars and practical exercises, one absence from seminars and one absence from practical exercises is possible.

|
Student performance, Seminar Work
Participation in seminars and practical exercises, one absence from seminars and one absence from practical exercises is possible. Writing a draft of a review article, which will then be sent for publication in a peer-reviewed journal.
