Learning outcomes
The first part of the two-semester course for first-year students focuses mainly on grasping basic Japanese grammar structures and developing vocabulary. Part of the instruction is taught by a Czech teacher, the other part is taught by a native speaker, who concentrates mainly on drilling and practising new grammar points.
Upon completion of the course, students will demonstrate a command of Japanese at the beginner´s level.

Assessment methods and criteria
Analysis of linguistic, Didactic Test

presence at at least 70% of classes with each teacher; credits awarded upon attaining at least 70% from the following: 3 small tests during the semestre, final grammar test and conversation exam at the end of the semestre (lessons 1-6)
