The B2-level final examination assesses students' knowledge and skills after completing five semesters of Chinese language study (Chinese 1-5). Completing all five semesters and obtaining all required credits and exam passes is a fundamental prerequisite for students to be eligible to register for the examination. The exam consists of a written and an oral component and is based on the grammar and vocabulary prescribed for this language level. The written component focuses on listening and reading comprehension and also tests grammar and vocabulary. The oral component, conducted in the form of a monologue and a dialogue, evaluates the students' spoken language competence at the required level, both in general language use and in the field of study. Students may only sit for the oral component after successfully passing the written part.
