Course content
Main topics of the course: - Basic principles of intensive care, ethical aspects of intensive care - Intensive care monitoring - Ventilation and oxygenation management (specifics of patient care on UPV, ventilation modes) - Management of cardiovascular monitoring and support, specifics of patient care after cardiac surgery and transplantation - Nutritional support in intensive care - Intensive care management in neurology - Supporting renal function in intensive care patients - Intensive care management in patients with multiple organ failure - Management of septic states in intensive care - Management of shock states in intensive care - Trauma management in intensive care - ALS under the ERC Guidelines

Learning outcomes
Learning outcomes of the course unit The aim of the course is to acquire the theoretical and practical skills required in conditions requiring anesthetic and resuscitation care.
After completing the course students will: - to know basic principles of intensive care, ethical aspects of intensive care - to know the ways of monitoring in intensive care, the specifics of patient care on UPV, ventilation modes - know the management and support of the cardiovascular system, the specifics of patient care after cardiac surgery and transplantation - to know management of septic states in intensive care, management of shock states in intensive care, management of trauma in intensive care, intensive care management in neurology, intensive care management in patients with multiorgan failure - know the ALS procedures under the ERC Guidelines - acquainted with nutritional support in intensive care, support of renal function in patients in intensive care
