Course content
|
The definition of the main topics of the course: 1. Care about the environment of the patient:- the equipment and arrangement of the standard nursing units, acute admission, anesthesiology and intensive care-resuscitation department, intensive care unit - the organization of work, staffing, treatment regimen - the burden and risks in the standard and emergency care from the point of view of the nurse/paramedic and pacietna - hygienic regimen in the care of the environment, equipment and apparatus, principles of occupational safety and health, barrier nursing care, prevention of healthcare-assosiated infection. 2. Work with information about the sick:- the transmission of information on patients, rounds, medical documentation 3. The nursing process in meeting human needs and therapeutic services for adults and children in standard and emergency care: - nursing process in ensuring nutrition and hydration - nursing process in ensuring the hygiene - nursing process in the prevention and treatment of bedsores and diaper rash - the nursing process when monitoring physiological functions, monitoring in intensive care - the nursing process in ensuring the evacuation of urine and stool in children and adults - nursing process in ensuring physical and mental well-being (pain, sleep and rest)- the nursing process in ensuring the physical and mental activities, when handling the patient (therapeutic and investigative position, rehabilitation nursing, prevention imobilizačního syndrome)- the nursing process in the care of wounds, the treatment of wounds, bandages, bandages and band-aid color technique - nursing care of the patient in the perioperative period, surgical nursing procedures (surgical bandaging, preparation of sterile table for small surgical procedures, drains and drainage, preoperative preparation, washing and dressing for surgery, post-operative care)- nurse practitione

Learning outcomes
|
Nursing practices are a theoretical and practical subject with a predominance of practical activities. The aim is to provide the knowledge and practical skills needed to perform nursing activities in children and adults in standard and urgent care. Nursing activities are implemented through the nursing process. Starting from a holistic and individual approach to the patient, they respect his rights.
Students will be able to perform procedures of nursing interventions with individual and situational variability corresponding to the latest trends. Students will be able to take care of the safe environment and the tools that are desirable for performing nursing activities.

Mark, Student performance, Didactic Test, Seminar Work, Written exam
Active participation in seminars and tutorials, written exam for verification of theoretical knowledges. Participation in tutorials 90 %.
