Course content
|
Within this individual clinical teaching, the student implements and documents individualized nursing care for a child patient using the nursing process in specific conditions - performs a clinical assessment of the child's needs, performs nursing diagnostics, proposes a care plan, implements nursing interventions and evaluates the effect of care . The student participates in education at outpatient clinics. The student is able to independently and proactively approach care activities, is able to manage complex situations, manages the performance of basic and specialized nursing care in common situations according to standards of care. Supervision is implemented within the practice.

Nursing practice takes place in nursing units, which are part of children's wards. Students are led by tutors and mentors of nursing practice of medical facilities. The content of the practice is the provision of basic nursing care by the method of nursing process in a group of pediatric patients with a focus on needs in the areas: health promotion, nutrition, excretion, activity, rest, perception - cognition, self-perception, relationships, sexuality, coping, safety-protection , comfort, growth and development.

Assessment methods and criteria

100% participation in professional clinical practice. In case of absence, it is necessary to complete the services in an alternative term upon agreement. Submission of seminar work case from practice and nursing plan, oral defense of work. Submission of a document and completion of an internship with evaluation from a clinical workplace.
