Course content
|
The content of practice is to provide basic nursing care using the nursing process method in the group of patients with a focus on the needs in the following areas: health promotion, nutrition, excretion, activity, rest, perception-cognition, perception of self, relationships, sexuality, handling of burden, safety-protection, comfort, growth and development. Student in this individual clinical training based on clinical judgment implements and documents individualized patient care on bed wards of hospital care by the nursing process method in specific conditions - conducting clinical assessment of the condition of patient's needs, performs nursing diagnosis, proposes a plan of care, implements and evaluates nursing interventions and evaluates the effect of the care provided.

Nursing practice (7 weeks) is carried out on standard inpatient wards of surgical type, it is led by tutors and mentors from professional practice of medical devices
The student is able to independently initiate appropriate action in simpler situations, he can organize it, but need an advice and support in more complex situations of care. Studen without much difficulty manages performances of basic nursing care and some specialized care performances in unusual, less common situations on the wards of surgical type.

Defence of nursing documentation kept in accordance with the principles the nursing process method - documentation of all phases of the nursing process for the selected patient at workplaces of surgical type. Presentation of the proof and graduation practice with the evaluation from the clinical workplace.
