Course content
Kinesiotherapy in patients after hip and knee replacement. General principles, goals and limits in traumatology patients. Medical rehabilitation goals, forms and limits in upper and lower limb injury patients. Comprehensive rehabilitation in upper or lower limb amputees, patients after lumpectomy and mastectomy, and soft tissue injury patients. Kinesiotherapy principles in patients with congenital or acquired defects of lower limb, poor posture and scoliosis. Physiotherapy in patients with rheumatoid arthritis and ankylosing spondylitis (Bechterew's disease). Respiratory physiotherapy in COPD patients and in patients with other chronic lung diseases. Indication, contraindication and specific forms of medical rehabilitation in patients with venous insufficiency, lymphedema, arterial hypertension, ischemic heart disease and post-acute MI condition. Kinesiotherapy in haematology, oncology and psychiatry patients. Clinical practicum in the University Hospital Olomouc Clinics - as assigned.

Learning outcomes
Practical training of Kenny and Janda analytical methods, the Klein-Vogelbach method, proprioceptive exercise on fitness balls; the basics of reflexotherapy and soft tissue techniques; the application of kinesiology and physiotherapy in functional movement disorders.
Students will master the basic kinesiotherapy strategy in individual clinical fields (orthopedics, traumatology, internal medicine especially pneumology). Students will be capable of managing rehabilitation and education programs for individual patients.
