Learning outcomes
|
This lecture series aims to achieve a comprehensive analysis of poetic works and therefore focuses on the issues of versology, genology, literary communication, and poetic terminology. It seeks to elucidate the basic concepts of versology, its development throughout the 19th and 20th centuries, and the current state of research. Along with tracing the evolution of this discipline, we will outline the fundamental phases of verse development in modern Czech poetry. Lectures dealing with the structure of literary works will examine the stratification of poetic works by literary type and genre, poetic naming, and the poetic image from an emotic and phenomenological perspective; they will also explore the structure of poetic works in all their complexity.

During the exam, students will conduct a versological analysis of a poem and discuss issues related to genre, poetic terminology, and so on.
