Course content |
Practising the basic methodical steps for analysing the poem's rhythm. The emphasized beats. The verse and sentence intonation. The Czech iambic metre and its various forms. The development of the Czech trochee metre. Iambic-trochaic metre with deviations. The dactyl and the free verse. The prosodic systems in the development of the Czech verse. The sound instrumentation. The lyric. The musical quality of the Czech verse. From the rhythm to the theme. The fictional worlds of the lyric. The fictional and non-fictional space in the literary work. The poetic appellation and the poetic language in formalism and structuralism. The poetic image according to the French literary critics associated with the "Geneva school". The cosmological features of poetic image. Word, voice, silence. How to understand silence in a poem?
