Course content
|
Presentation of collecting methods of different groups of invertebrates and vertebrates: pitfall traps, subterranean traps, exhaustor, entomological net, bait traps, light traps. Training of preparation techniques: preservative solutions, preparation by drying (beetle, butterfly). Making a collection of invertebrates for teaching biology on high schools.

After finishing the course student should be able to: - get knowledge on collecting methods of different groups of invertebrates and vertebrates: - use pitfall traps, subterranean traps, exhaustor, entomological net, bait traps, light traps. - use correct preparation techniques: preservative solutions, preparation by drying (beetle, butterfly). - make a collection of invertebrates for teaching biology on high schools.
