Course content
|
Practical demonstration of various types of communities of aquatic habitats. Changes in the structure of zoobenthos communities in the longitudinal profile of running water (krenon, rhithron, potamon) - RCC. Ponds, river arms, dams, lakes - demonstration of sampling methods, fixation and preparation of material, practical identification of organisms collected.

Practical demonstration of various types of communities of aquatic habitats.
Student should be able to (after attending the course): - Recognize types of aquatic ecosystems. - Use different methods of sampling, fixation and preparation. - Identify aquatic organisms.

knowledge of invertebrate taxonomy, ability to do field research

Assessment methods and criteria
|
Written exam, Student performance
participation min 80%, practical demonstrations of sampling methods of zoobentos, determination of typical species of invertebrates from different types of water. Determination test - at least 12 correctly determined taxa out of 18
