Course content
|
Getting to know the types of aquatic ecosystems, with characteristic organisms of different types of lakes and rivers. Part of the excursion includes familiarization with the technologies of sewage and water supply facilities.

Learning outcomes
|
Introduction to aquatic ecosystems, characteristic organisms for each water type.
Students will become familiar with the types of aquatic ecosystems (standing water, flowing water, springs), with characteristic organisms of different types of water. Students will become familiar with the technologies of sewage and water supply facilities. Students will try hydrobiological methods in natural conditions.

Prerequisites
|
Basic knowledge of hydrobiology. Basic knowledge of ecology and morphology of aquatic invertebrates.

Assessment methods and criteria
|
Written exam
Active participation in the excursion (100%). Student must be able to present and discuss the basic facts of the above thematic areas. Cognition of organisms.
