1. Identification of birds in the field. Identification based on appearance, behaviour, and voice. Determining age, sex, and subspecies. Moult. 2. Basic methods of ornithological field research. Censusing birds ? point, line transect and territory mapping methods. Basics of bird ringing, bird netting and capture methods, types of marking (aluminium rings, colour rings, neck and wing rings and marks, telemetry).
