Obsah předmětu
|
The course consists primarily of a series of field excursions to important bird sites in Moravia and Silesia. During these autumn excursions, students will learn to identify birds by their appearance, behaviour, and vocalisations, distinguish age and sex, recognise moult and plumage characteristics, and become familiar with basic methods of field ornithological research, including bird surveys and field recording.

Kurz je primárně určen pro zahraniční studenty. Výuka proběhne anglicky/česky. The main aim is to introduce students to bird identification in the field and the basic methods used in field ornithological research.

The course is open to all students interested in field ornithology, from beginners to advanced birdwatchers and ornithologists.

Successful completion of the course requires attendance at a minimum of three field excursions and keeping field notes, either in a paper notebook or using one of the available mobile applications. During the course, students will acquire basic bird identification skills and become familiar with fundamental methods of field ornithology. Participants are encouraged to bring their own binoculars (preferably 8×42 or 10×42), suitable hiking boots, waterproof outdoor clothing, and sufficient funds to cover travel expenses.
