Course content
|
Principles of classification of living organisms. Principles of fylogenetic and molecular taxonomy. Introduction to animal biology. Heterotrophy. Basic body organising plans, formation of multicellular organisms, Diblastica, Triblastica with Superphyla Prostomia and Deuterostomia - characteristics on the level of animal Phyla, morphological evolution, ecological success. Characteristic of selected taxons in terms of morphology and anatomy, principle of reproduction, ecology and representative species: Protozoa Metazoa: Diblastica - Porifera, Cnidaria. Triblastica (Prostomia) - Plathelminthes, Nematoda, Mollusca, Annelida, Arthropoda (Subphyla Chelicerata, Crustacea, Myriapoda, Hexapoda). Triblastica (Deuterostomia) - Echinodermata, Hemichordata and Chordata. System and characteristic of important taxons of the Phylum Chordata: Subphyla Urochordata, Cephalochordata and Vertebrata with Classes Cyclostomata, Chondrichthyes, Osteichthyes, Amhibia, Reptilia, Aves and Mammalia. Principles of zoogeography.
