Learning outcomes
The course is a core subject forming the third pillar of the study programme, focusing on the development of professional skills and general abilities of the student, specifically on the student's ability to present the acquired knowledge and skills in a scientific text and in a professional scientific forum. The course is designed as a four-semester course, with the demands of student performance in the course increasing as the semesters progress. The course builds primarily on the Philosophical and Methodological Foundations of Law and Scientific Propaedeutics and is designed for students specializing in Administrative Law. The first semester of the course is focused on introducing the student to the presentation of a professional problem and its solution at scientific conferences. The student is required to attend a scientific conference in the field of administrative law in agreement with his/her lecturer. In the first semester of the course, only passive participation is sufficient, as the purpose is to provide the student with the necessary information on how to present a paper at a scientific conference in the future. Considering that the dissertation represents the student's final work summarizing the results of his/her scientific activities carried out throughout the course of his/her studies, the programme places appropriate emphasis on the student's ongoing scientific activity in his/her chosen field. For this reason, the student is required to submit to the lecturer a detailed list of literature and relevant case law related to the topic of his/her dissertation already in the first semester of this course.
Students who have completed this course will gain the knowledge necessary to understand the features of law.
