Learning outcomes
The aim of the VCJ/ATZ2 course is to develop English vocabulary for geography and develop oral expression in English in short outputs. For these independent outputs, students choose from the presentation proposals for the summer term and develop the topic in the form of an interactive presentation or in the form of a discussion or in the form of "micro-teaching" or in the form of a game activity. The course develops language skills at the B2 level.
Aquisition of specific terminology on the B1 level according to the Common European Framework of Reference.
Prerequisites
Students must have a minimum language level in English of level B1 of the Common European Framework for Languages.

Assessment methods and criteria
Oral exam, Written exam

To successfully complete the course, the student is required to complete the credit test with a minimum of 70% and successfully pass the exam (10-minute presentation). The final exam grade is then determined from the grade of the spoken output and the credit test. A maximum of 2 absences from classes per semester are allowed. Students of combined studies are completely exempted from attendance and prepare individually, or as part of consultations that they arrange with the teacher with whom they are enrolled. They can also use interactive tests on the Moodle platform for practice. To complete the credit, it is necessary to write a written test with a minimum of 70%. To successfully complete the exam, these students must successfully master one 10-minute presentation from the presentation drafts (in Moodle) and prepare a teaching or game activity for this presentation. The final exam grade is then determined from the grade of the spoken output and the credit test. The written test has three parts: listening, reading comprehension and vocabulary test. All are based on materials in Moodle (Lessons and Vocabulary).
