Learning outcomes
The course VCJ/AIII3 develops language skills at the B2 level of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR), focusing on English as it is actually used by native speakers in everyday life. Students will deepen their knowledge of grammar and vocabulary and improve all four language skills speaking, reading, listening, and writing. The course also includes an introduction to common conversational phrases typical of spoken English. This course may also serve as part of preparation for the Oxford Test of English.
Acquisition of language knowledge on the B2 level according to the Common European Framework of Reference.
Prerequisites
A minimum language level in English of level B1 of the Common European Framework for Languages (CEFR) is required. Students are expected to have a good knowledge of basic English grammar, for example they should be able to form and use all tenses and comparative and superlative adjectives or adverbs, etc. To check which level of the CEFR you are currently at, we recommend that you use online tests, for example at: http://examenglish.com/leveltest/index.html

Assessment methods and criteria
Written exam

To successfully complete the course, students are required to attend classes actively and achieve a minimum score of 70% in the credit test. A maximum of 2 absences per semester are permitted. The result of the credit test is taken into account in the final assessment of the VCJ/AIII4 exam.
