Learning outcomes
|
The objective of VCJ/A1 is to develop the language skills of general English at level B1-B2 of the Common European Framework for Languages. The course focuses on building vocabulary, reinforcing grammar, developing reading and listening with understanding and promoting speaking. It works primarily with common English, i.e. the language used in everyday situations by native speakers.
Acquisition of language knowledge on the B1-B2 level according to the Common European Framework of Reference.

Prerequisites
|
A minimum language level in English of level B1 of the Common European Framework for Languages is required. Students are expected to have a good knowledge of basic grammar, in particular that of all tenses, adjectives, adverbs and modal verbs.

Assessment methods and criteria
|
Written exam
Students are required to attend classes, may be absent twice per semester, and must participate actively. They must prepare for the classes as required by their teachers. They must successfully pass the ungraded evaluation. The result is part of the final evaluation of the VCJ/A2 exam. Part-time students do not attend classes on a regular basis. They prepare for the credit test themselves. In case of need, please contact your tutor.
