Learning outcomes
The aim of the subject is a comprehensive and detailed insight, analysis and comparison of the development of insights into the issue of talent, extraordinary talent and giftedness in the context of special pedagogy in accordance with contemporary and historically based scientific and research knowledge from the field of psychology, pedagogy, neuroscience and other disciplines and in direct continuous reflection into modern special pedagogical approaches. Great emphasis will be placed on the comparison of the domestic scientific-research concept with foreign concepts and on respecting individual developmental specifics, links to disability and disadvantage, socio-cultural specifics and the impact in the field of diagnostics and comprehensive intervention, as well as in the evaluation of the educational performance of children and adults. The content of the subject will be a critical analysis and comparison of insights into the theories of exceptionality and so-called double exceptionality as special needs, individual variability of the cognitive level in relation to the so-called psychological, neurobiological and socio-determinants of giftedness and its impact on the field of special education research, specific scientifically based results in within the framework of the investigation of the hereditary and genetic conditioning of so-called exceptional abilities in relation to social, socio-cultural determinants and links, an insight into the methods and strategies of developing talent and talent in educational (methodical, didactic and counseling) and clinical consequences. Among the professionally confronted concepts will also be, for example, ableism, as well as creativity in the context of talent and giftedness in people with special needs. The subject of the professional debate is also the communication and language specifics of people with extraordinary talent and giftedness in the sense of their interference in the area of ??evaluating the pragmatics of communication, social-interactional and emotional manifestations of behavior or in the area of ??assessing neurodevelopmental disorders such as ASD and developmental learning disorders, syndromes associated with extraordinary talent and giftedness and other scientific fields. After completing the course, the student will be able to apply the acquired knowledge relevantly in his scientific research and development activities and in the framework of a scientific disputation on this topic in an international context.
