Definition of the concept Evidence-Based Practice (EBP) and its importance for the synthesis and the implementation of scientific evidence into practice. Types and designs of primary research (effectiveness research, observational studies, qualitative studies, arts-based research - their characteristics and specifics in relation to art therapies. The importance of designs for research in the field of art therapies with specific examples focusing on the area of ??student research. Secondary research methodologies - especially systematic reviews and their examples with a focus on the area of ??student research. Ethical aspects of research in art therapies.
