Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to gain a relevant view of the importance of diagnostics and differential diagnostics, which is the primary prerequisite for applying the foundations and theoretical starting points for working with an individual with a hearing impairment. The content of the course includes an analysis of special educational diagnostic procedures implemented in individuals with hearing impairment from the point of view of objectivity, reliability and validity, the specifics of child diagnostics and adult diagnostics, special pedagogical diagnosis of deafness as a result of ultidisciplinary cooperation of specialists and differential diagnosis as a starting point for working with individuals with hearing and other related disabilities. Another area on which the subject is focused is the area of ??special pedagogic deaf-paedic counseling, including the early care system, school counseling, tertiary education counseling and professional counseling. The content of the subject is special pedagogical counseling and support after the end of education, as a service for adults and seniors with hearing impairment. The course also includes issues of various intervention techniques used for the comprehensive development of the personality of individuals with hearing impairment, including expressive therapeutic approaches (e.g. drama therapy, educational drama, art therapy, dance and movement therapy).
