The discipline builds on the generally formulated discipline of Special education by analysing the area of the diagnostic process in persons with intellectual and other mental types of disability; focus is especially on the tools of diagnostics and differential diagnostics aimed at relevant target groups. The main focus is on the methods of special education diagnostics of persons with intellectual disability both on an information and practical level - these are groups of clinical methods and procedures and standardized techniques.
