Learning outcomes
The discipline presents the current theories and approaches to the education of persons with physical disability and those who suffer from a disease or health impairment in the Czech Republic and abroad (comparison). The aspects of the educational process are explained as well as the factors influencing the quality of education of persons with mobility impairment. Emphasis is on the principles, methods and means applicable in the education of persons with mobility impairment of various ages. The significance of physical disability education is defined in the context of optimization of the process of education of persons with mobility impairment, the use of technical aids is described in the context of curricular and extracurricular education of these individuals. The specifics of educating persons with physical disability and persons who suffer from a disease or health impairment are defined. Attention is paid to modern trends in the area of educating persons with mobility impairment of early and preschool age, school age, as well as adult and senior age.
