The discipline focuses in detail on the organizational (systematic) aspects of the educational system - this applies to all aspects relating to the education of children, pupils and students with special educational needs. All aspects are placed in context with the current trends in addressing the educational needs of the target group in EU countries. The following aspects will be analysed in detail: organization of the educational system in the Czech Republic, non-discrimination practices aimed at students with special educational needs, rights and responsibilities of legal guardians, legal (and factual) provision of inclusive education and provision of special education in specialized establishments.
