The discipline presents the system of classification of individual types of rehabilitation programmes for persons with mobility impairment. The situation in the Czech Republic and abroad (comparison) is described as well as the official system of providing these programmes. Rehabilitation programmes are described in terms of various target groups, including persons with physical disability and those who suffer from a disease or health impairment of various age. The discipline also focuses on the selection, planning and assessment of the effectiveness of rehabilitation programmes designed for individuals with mobility impairment in the context of the principles and objectives of comprehensive rehabilitation. The significance of the application of these programmes in physical disability education is described together with modern trends in the area.
