Learning outcomes
The subject builds on the theoretical foundations of the field as a scientific field and propaedeutic disciplines, which the student became familiar with in the course of Somatopedia 1. The subject specializes in the field of special pedagogical intervention for people with limited mobility. The aim of the course is to understand the theoretical background and master specialized procedures for this group of people. The basic objectives of the course include defining the didactic and methodological procedures for counseling and educating students with mobility limitations, providing an overview of the forms and specifics of the educational process for this group of students, and mastering the diagnostic, educational, therapeutic, compensatory, interactional and stimulating methods used in the work of a special pedagogue (somatopedic). He also deals with consultancy in other departments, especially consultancy within social services. Teaching theses: - The concept of counseling care for pupils with limited mobility, the work of a special pedagogue (somatopedist) in counseling facilities and special pedagogical diagnostics of pupils with limited mobility. - Education of pupils with limited mobility (inclusive education and education in specialized facilities, legislation and curriculum documents in the Ministry of Education, educational forms, methods, means and processes). - Educational, therapeutic, compensatory, interactional and stimulating methods used for students with limited mobility (basal stimulation, structured learning, Snoezelen, positioning and transfers, alimentation techniques and procedures from the Bobath concept, use of creative means in education, alternative and augmentative communication, behavioral oriented procedures, etc.). - Modern approaches in diagnosis and intervention (dynamic diagnosis and its examples, theory of mediated learning, theory of structural cognitive modification, FIE and others). - Counseling in the field of social services, specifics of the counseling process for people of different age categories with limited mobility.
