Learning outcomes
The subject is designed as a theoretical starting point for the field of somatopathies and interdisciplinary connections in the field of reference fields and a comprehensive concept of rehabilitation. Another part of the subject is the expansion of students' knowledge in the field of propaedeutic disciplines, in this case focused on the issue of momentum limitation. Students will learn the psychological, health and social aspects of working with people with mobility limitations and the possibilities of their application in special pedagogy (somatopedics). A combination of theoretical explanation, exercises and practical demonstrations, discussion and independent student work will be used for teaching. Teaching theses: - Presentation of the field of somatopedics in the context of the current concept of special education in the Czech Republic and abroad. - Definition of basic categories and concepts: limitation of mobility, physical and combined disability, disease (or also health impairment), concept of functional ability of an individual. - Historiography of care for individuals with mobility limitations in the Czech Republic and abroad. - Rehabilitation of persons with limited mobility (terminology, legislation, concept), rehabilitation in the medical, social and work areas. The work of a special pedagogue in the context of a comprehensive concept of rehabilitation. - The importance of interdisciplinarity and the concept of interdisciplinary cooperation in the facilities of the health, education and social welfare departments (legislation in individual departments, the system of facilities and their basic characteristics, models and concrete examples of the possibilities of interdisciplinary cooperation). - Psychosocial issues of people with limited mobility (physical, psychological and social needs of children with limited mobility, models of the process of coping with a physical disability and serious illness, the issue of terminal illness, family issues for children with limited mobility, the effect of the visibility of the disability on its bearers). - Medical and nursing aspects of physical disabilities and diseases (characteristics of cerebral palsy, congenital developmental defects, epilepsy, diabetes mellitus and other basic disabilities and diseases in the field of somatopathies). - Physiotherapy and occupational therapy and other fields from the field of health care (inclusion in the system of health fields, methods for examination and intervention, compensatory aids, areas of orthopedic prosthetics) Povinná literatura: BARTOŇOVÁ, M., VÍTKOVÁ, M. a kol.
