Learning outcomes
The subject deals with the phenomenon of working with the body in groups with specific needs, including the body as the basis of para-theatrical work with the client. It defines the boundary between rehabilitation, non-verbal communication and symbolic (aesthetic, artistic) work. Students will be introduced to current approaches to the body in helping professions, including rehabilitation and paratheater ones, both theoretically and through self-experience. After completing the course, students should: - To become familiar with historical and current world trends in the approach to the body and physicality. - Try selected procedures and techniques so that they get a personal physical experience of the work in question. - To be able to define the meaning of work with the body for the client in the framework of paratheatre intervention.
