Course content
Thematic areas: - Special educational intervention processes for students with limited mobility and methods and procedures used within these processes (adaptation, interaction, communication, self-care, personal development, and other processes). - Modern approaches to diagnosis and intervention (dynamic diagnosis and examples thereof, mediated learning theory, structural cognitive modifiability theory, FIE, and other intervention programs). - Clinical linguistics approaches to anarthria, written language therapy, and communication development. - Physiotherapy and occupational therapy approaches (the importance of physiotherapy and occupational therapy, methods, compensatory aids, training in positioning and transferring people with severe physical disabilities, application of compensatory and adaptive strategies). - Use of creative approaches and elements of psychotherapy in rehabilitation for behavioral modification, functional ability development, activity training, interaction support, and relationship building. - Stimulation methods - training in elements of basal stimulation, ball facilitation, touch therapy, Snoezelen, melodic-intonation therapy, etc.

Learning outcomes
The aim of the course Specific Intervention Techniques for Speech Therapists is to deepen didactic, intervention, and therapeutic abilities and skills in the context of modern trends and approaches used with people with limited mobility. The course includes theoretical instruction, practical training, discussion, and analysis of case studies. In addition, students will be introduced to methods and techniques that they cannot apply competently without further (supplementary) education in the form of courses, training, or follow-up studies.
After completing the course, students will be able to apply theoretical knowledge and practical skills in the context of modern trends and approaches in the field of specific intervention techniques in communication disorders in the context of speech therapy intervention.

Requirements of lecturer Mironová Tabachová: - A minimum of 80% active participation and practice of practical skills is required to complete this part of the course. The ability to connect theory and practice will be assessed through discussions during the course. - Requirements for completing the course - writing an essay on a selected topic. Requirements set by lecturer Vrbová: - active participation in class, practice of practical skills - Requirements for completion: study results (ability to connect theory and practice) will be verified through the completion of individually assigned tasks.
