Learning outcomes
The aim of the subject is to gain orientation in the approaches of expressive therapies, individual therapeutic concepts and theoretical starting points. The basis for teaching the subject Expressive therapy will be the theory for the systematization of art therapy approaches created by V. Karka in Great Britain, according to which therapeutic starting points in artistic creative therapies are divided into psychoanalytic/psychodynamic, humanistic, eclectic/integrative, developmental, artistic/creative and active trends /directive. Individual trends will be presented theoretically and in practical examples from therapeutic practice, which will be the content of the seminars. Newer trends in postmodern, biomedical, social and spiritual theories will also be considered. After completing this course, students will orientate themselves in the issues of individual directions, approaches and therapeutic schools, they will know examples and how the initial theories of these approaches are applied to the artistic creative process. In addition, they will know the development of expressive therapies in the Czech Republic and understand the relationship between the national and international (especially European) development of artistic creative therapies and their current state.
