The primary aim of the course is to enable future teachers and special education teachers to understand the basic legal framework of their future position in both the education area and the area of social protection. The course will cover basic issues of legal institutes related to the performance of the work of a special education teacher and a worker within the system of social protection. Syllabus: " Introduction to law and its study. " The school, the family, the child, the pupil, the student - legal aspects. " Introduction to constitutional law - the system of public administration in the Czech Republic. " The citizen in private-law relationships. " The Civil Code, subjects of legal relationships. " The Civil Code vol. 2. Family law - marriage, parental responsibility, substitute family care, alimony. " The Civil Code - liability for damage - special provisions for minors and incompetent people. " Teaching staff, social workers, and employment relationship vol. 1. " Teaching staff, social workers, and employment relationship vol. 2. " Criminal liability and related issues. " Legal provisions concerning negative phenomena and risky behaviour in the education sector (bullying, truancy, etc.). " Crimes against children and youth. " Children and youth justice system. " Socio-legal protection of children and youth. " The education sector legislation - basic legal regulations. " The education sector legislation - compulsory school attendance, rights and obligations of participants of education.
