The course builds on the basic theory from the area as a scholarly field and from the propedeutic fields presented in the course Somatopedia 1. It is focused on the area of special needs education interventions with people with limited mobility. The aim of the course is to facilitate comprehension of the theoretical background as well as the acquisition of specialized procedures for this particular group of people. The main aims of the course are to define the didactic and methodological procedures of consultancy and education of pupils with limited mobility, to provide an overview the forms and specifics of the education process for this group of pupils, and to acquire the diagnostic, educational, therapeutic, compensatory, interactional, and stimulation methods used within the scope of the work of a special education teacher. The course also deals with counselling in other sectors, particularly with consultancy in social services. Syllabus: " The concept of counselling service for pupils with limited mobility, the work of the special education teacher in counselling facilities, and special needs education diagnostics of pupils with limited mobility. " Education for pupils with limited mobility (inclusive education and education in specialized facilities, legislation and curricular documents in the education sector, education forms, methods, means and processes). " Educational, therapeutic, compensatory, interactional, and stimulation methods used with pupils with limited mobility (basal stimulation, structured learning, Snoezelen, positioning and repositioning, alimentation techniques and procedures according to the Bobath concept, utilization of creative means of education, alternative and augmentative communication, behaviour-oriented procedures, etc.). " Modern approaches in diagnostics and intervention (dynamic diagnostics and its demonstrations, the theory of mediated learning, the theory of structural cognitive modifiability, FIE, etc.).
