The discipline treats the system and functioning of the counselling.

Learning outcomes
The aim of this course is to gain insight into the field of special education discipline of deaf persons or persons with severe hearing impairment. This course will acquaint students with fundamental basics and theoretical grounds for work with persons with hearing impairment. The content of this course covers folowing areas: " Theoretical introduction to Deaf education arising from relevant medical and special education disciplines. " Explanation of fundamental audiological terms essential for good orientation in Deaf education. " Historical overview of Deaf education " Characteristics and applications of basic compensatory aids for persons with hearing impairment. Topics: " Deaf education - specail education discipline " Introduction to Deaf education terminology " Hearing impairment from the audiology perspective " Classification of persons wih hearing impairments " Etiology of hearing disorders " History of care of persons with hearing impairments Technical and compensatory aids
The outcomes of the subject are based on partial profile of the subject`s absolvent.
