The practical training is conducted in the form of supervised observations in institutions providing special support to individuals with a disability or socially disadvantaged from other causes. The training also involves gaining an acquaintance with the respective documents and organizational measures ensuring the operations of the particular institution. The following is required as preparation for the practical training: " Study of the respective regulations and study materials " Study of diagnostic and counselling procedures in special needs education Over the course of the practical training, students receive documents for individual study and special needs education practice. They also become familiar with the means of intervention, education diagnostics and normative, formative, and possibly also dynamic diagnostics in special needs education. Students keep an ongoing log of their practical training. After completion of the training, students discuss the experience with the supervisor and the methodologist in charge.
