Course content
|
English language: - vocabulary connected with shopping, jobs, modern technologies, - writing a complaint, biography, CV, - word formation (adjectives, adverbs), - direct and indirect questions, - intonation in tag questions. ELT methodology: - work with learners with special educational needs, - the CLIL method, - project work, - children's literature and drama activities in lessons of English, - modern technology, the internet, interactive whiteboard, - teaching culture.

Learning outcomes
|
In English language, students should be able to: - use vocabulary connected with shopping, jobs, modern technologies, - write a complaint, biography, CV, - form adjectives and adverbs with the help of prefixes and suffixes, - define the difference between direct and indirect questions, - use proper intonation in tag questions. From the field of ELT methodology, students should: - know how work with learners with special educational needs, - be able to define and apply the CLIL method, - be able to select appropriate children's literature and drama activities in lessons of English, - use appropriate ways of teaching culture, - be able to apply the theoretical knowledge in teaching at primary schools.

Assessment methods and criteria

Oral exam, Student performance, Seminar Work
Credit: - 80% attendance (70% for students with individual study plan), - active participation, - satisfactory seminar work. Oral exam: - conversation with the teacher about a chosen ELT methodology topic in English. More specific information in Moodle.
