Course content
Principal issues in prevention and prophylaxis in dentistry. Oral health and its relation to the overall health state. The most frequent pathological changes in mouth cavity, caries and periodontal diseases. Main ethiological factors, impact of dental tissues quality.

Learning outcomes
Principal issues in prevention and prophylaxis in dentistry. Oral health and its relation to the overall health state, the most frequent pathological changes in mouth cavity, caries and periodontal diseases. Lectures are focused on the main etiological factors of these pathologies and possibilities of their prevention.
Theoretical background of practical training.

Knowledges of previous subjects.

Student performance

Student has his own handheld working instruments for plastic tooth filling and we recommend to buy WHO probe for hygiene of instruments cares Palacky dental clinic. Conditionals for getting Credit: 100% attendance at tutorial, preparation for tutorials, limit of hands -on achievement: journal 3x, lead polishing 4x, therapy of simple caries or preventive tooth filling 3x, sealing 1x. Student bring 2 patients to dental clinic to do a total checkup, plan of therapy, adaptation of oral hygiene, aplication of local fluorid medicaments. Repetition: test,limit of success 90%. Directions of dean LF UP B3-3/2011 - It's possible to past 1/3 obligate education, but only with apology. Test, limit of success 90%
