Course content
|
Students will be introduced during seminars with anatomy and morphology of soft tissues and hard dental tissues in the oral cavity, disorders of the development of these tissues and their basic diseases such as tooth decay and its possible complications, periodontal disease and problems of focal infections in the oral cavity. They will get acquainted with the basic disagreements in dentoalveolar surgery, dental extractions and their complications, or combinations of inflammation in the oral cavity. Students will be acquainted not only with the basic possibilities of treatment in dentistry, such as fillings, tooth root system treatment and indirect reconstruction of the dental cavity, but also with problems of dental anomalies and their solution with orthodontic appliances.

Learning outcomes
|
Inform students of general medicine about basic problems related to dentistry, problems of dental caries, diseases of oral cavity, possible complications of these diseases and basic procedures for their treatment.
The student will be orientated in anatomy, morphology and abnormalities of soft tissues and hard tissues of the oral cavity, will be able to identify basic diseases of these tissues and will be oriented in the possible types of treatments performed in dentistry. It will be focused on caries treatment in adults and children, treatment of the root canal. Student focuses on the problems of fixed and removable prosthetic restorations and dentures, will acquire basic knowledge in dentoalveolar surgery, will be focused on the issue of periodontal disease as a focal infection and its effect on the overall health of the patient. It will be orientated in orthodontic anomalies and methods of their treatment.

Basic knowledge of anatomy and histology of soft and hard tissues of oral cavity.

100% participation in seminars and good knowledge with subject of seminars.
