Students will become familiar with the legal regulation of natural and legal persons in detail and learn to recognize the significance of legal facts, in particular legal acts, the passage of time, limitation periods, and preclusion. They will also gain a deeper insight into property law, contract law, including contracting and selected types of contracts, as well as the issues of damages and unjust enrichment. Significant attention will also be paid to consumer protection and the general principles of corporate law and its specific types. After completing the course, students will be able to apply their knowledge and skills in various areas of law and regulation, particularly in regulatory and supervisory bodies, non-governmental organizations, and think tanks focused on sustainable consumption, in the corporate sphere, particularly in the area of compliance, CSR, and legal consulting in marketing and advertising, or in academic and research environments with an emphasis on sustainable development. The course connects the traditional field of private law with current challenges related to sustainability and responsible business, preparing students to solve legal problems in the modern economy.
