Learning outcomes
|
The aim of the course is to familiarize students with the basic principles of legal liability and its application in the context of sustainability. Students will gain an overview of the different types of legal responsibility (civil, administrative, criminal, constitutional) and will be able to identify how different types of responsibility influence the actions of individuals, organizations, and public administration in relation to sustainability.
1. Identify and explain the basic types of legal liability and their significance in the context of sustainable development 2. Apply legal principles of liability to specific practical situations and in various types of proceedings 3. Analyze the impact of legal liability on the behavior of individuals, organizations, and states 4. Analyze civil, administrative, criminal, and constitutional aspects of liability for damage and harm related to environmental protection 5. Understand international mechanisms of legal liability of states in the field of sustainability and climate change 6. Use legal instruments of public participation and represent the interests of the public in proceedings concerning environmental liability 7. Critically evaluate the effectiveness of legal liability instruments in specific cases, be able to identify the most appropriate procedures for achieving objectives, including the ability to synergistically combine different types of liability
