The objective of the Civil Law course is to deepen the knowledge of the subject on the level of a doctoral study programme. The course will deal with basic characteristics of civil law, including its systematic integration in the legal order and its internal structuring, with rules, standards and sources of civil law and its general institutes, included in the category of legal facts. Concerned topics will also include the theory and practical importance of interpretation of civil law relationships and their structure, theoretical and practical issues of basic institutes of real rights and their interdisciplinary coherences. Further, the course will include the theory and practice of law of obligations with a special attention to contractual obligations and issues concerning civil responsibility, including interdisciplinary coherences. The purpose of instruction in Civil Procedure is to broaden the knowledge of basic characteristics of civil procedure on the level of a doctoral study programme. The studies are focused on the nature of civil procedure standards, systematic incorporation of the branch in the legal order framework, and its functional ties with substantive law. Developed is theoretical knowledge of basic institutes of civil procedure (court competences, participation, right in action, court decisions, legal force and enforceability), and emphasised are the basic principles of the legal branch and their importance upon interpretation and application of legal standards contained in its sources. The studies are also focused on theoretical aspects of fact-finding and removing deficiencies from judgments, as well as deepening of theoretical bases of execution and insolvency law.
