Course content
1. Basic terms and principles of succession law. 2. Acquisition in case of death, the general treatment of testament. 3. Succession by contract, legat. 4. Intestate succession, limitation on freedom of testation 5. Disinheritance and freedom heirs receive inheritance 6. The transition of the estate.

Learning outcomes
This course will provide students with the topic of the law of succession including its procedural features. Students will get the information on elementary institutions, historical evolution and some possibilities of the future developments of this of this branch of law. Work with the relevant case-law on related issues is inextricable part of this course. The subject innovation has been supported by the project Support of Interdisciplinary studies and Study Programmes Innovations at Palacký University in Olomouc, CZ.1.07/2.2.00/28.0091.
Students who have completed this course will gain the knowledge and skills necessary to understand the features of law of succession. It will widen their knowledge of general civil law.
Prerequisites
Students who want to complete this course must first successfully complete the Introduction to the Private Law 1 and 2.

It is essential that those students who would like to get the credit must have attendance within the scope set by the seminar teacher and they also must succeed in the exam.
