Course content
1. introduction, history and evolution of notarial law 2. notarial deeds, notary escrow (deposit of documents and money) 3. authentication 4. probate proceedings - principles of probate proceedings, inheritance titles 5. probate proceedings - persons participating in the probate proceeding, stages of the probate proceeding, inheritance disputes, disposal of inheritance 6. notarial self-governance, supervision over the work of notary, public and private registers 7. international element in the work of notary

Learning outcomes
To acquaint students with the role and functions of notaries and notarial offices within the system of law. The importance of the notary work, different types of notarial activities and their connection and relationship to other legal fields. Work with the relevant case-law on related issues is also part of this course.
Students who have completed this course will extand the knowledge of civil proceedings with information about practical aspects of the notarial work and role of the notary.
Prerequisites
The completion of this course is not conditioned upon completion of any other courses.

It is essential that those students who would like to get the credit must have attendance within the scope set by the seminar teacher and they also must succeed in the exam.
