Course content
1. Steps in radiation treatment planning 2. Simulator, planning a CT, positioning the patient 3. Irradiation conditions 4. Planning systems - 2D and 3D planning 5. Planning systems - IMRT (IGRT) 6. Radiation dosage in tumour site, dosage spatial distribution 7. Direct and indirect dosage setting in a tumour 8. Rudiments of radiobiology 9. Dosage and time dependence 10. Irradiation therapy according to time distribution 11. The Atomic Act and related regulation

Learning outcomes
Students are introduced to the basic techniques of ionizing radiation therapy ranging from preparing the radiation treatment plan and choosing the irradiation conditions, methods of radiation targeting and reproduction to radiation techniques.
Student students know the techniques of radiation, therapeutical devices for tumor treatment and brachytherapy.
