Course content
Examination of the skeleton Examination using 99mTc MIBI, pentavalent DMSA, MIBG, Tektrotyd Radioiodine therapy Therapy of bone metastases Estimating erythrocyte half-life and location of erythrocyte destruction Estimating thrombocyte half-life and location of erythrocyte destruction Estimating the circulating blood volume Calculations of applied radiopharmaceuticals for each examinations and corrections to fit the patient's weight Preparing the patient for an examination Examination parameters, positioning Introduction to the principles of in vitro examination

Learning outcomes
The aim is to acquire theoretical knowledge about basic nuclear examinations in oncology and cancer diagnostics, in therapy with open emitters and hematologic examinations.
Students acquire theoretical knowledge about the principles of detecting ionizing radiation as well as different examination procedures in nuclear medicine which they apply in their practical training.
