Course content
Lessons in English. The course will include theoretical lectures with practical training of therapeutic procedures in each of these crisis situations: eclampsia, severe bleeding, sepsis, amniotic fluid embolism, uterine rupture, breech birth, umbilical cord prolapse, shoulder dystocia, emergency Caesarean Section.

Learning outcomes
The aim of this course is to familiarize students with the role of midwives in acute conditions in obstetrics. Students will learn the following acute situations: eclampsia (eclamptic seizure), severe bleeding, PŽOK, sepsis, amniotic fluid embolism, uterine rupture, pelvic end position, umbilical cord prolapse, shoulder dystocia, acute sectio caesarea. The course is taught in English.
After completing the course, students will understand the basic etiology, pathophysiology and treatment of acute conditions mentioned above which they might encounter in the practice of obstetrics
Prerequisites
Knowledge of the anatomy of the female pelvis and the female genital tract. Orientation in the field of physiology and pathological physiology.

Oral exam, Student performance, Dialog

100% participation in the theoretical and practical training, passing the colloquium.
